The International Design Festival "Design Act" is a multifaceted event that has no analogues in Russia. Its main mission is to support representatives of the creative industry and foster the development of Russian design in the country.
Bringing together a professional and diverse audience, the festival consists of four main components:
Design Exhibition: Exhibition areas for partners and festival participants to showcase their work.
Design Forum: Lectures, masterclasses, workshops, and roundtable discussions on the most relevant issues in industrial design.
Design Market: An exhibition and sale of exclusive home and lifestyle items.
Design Night: Informal networking with Russian and Western designers and architects, as well as notable figures from the worlds of art, advertising, and business.
Over its 7 years of existence, Design Act has welcomed over 300,000 visitors. It has hosted more than 100 solo exhibitions by Western and Russian designers, conducted over 70 lectures, and sold over 10,000 unique design objects at the Design Market. The festival has been covered in over a hundred publications in leading media outlets, with reports on channels like "Channel One," stories on "NTV," "Dozhd TV," "Moscow 24," radio stations like City FM and Echo of Moscow, as well as in publications like Interier+Design, OK!, The Moscow Times, and many others.
In 2022, after a 10-year hiatus, the festival returned to showcase to a wide audience how the world of industrial design has evolved in recent years. The exhibition featured three thematic blocks: "History," "Present," and "Future" of Russian design, accompanied by over 50 lectures and discussions on the most pressing topics in the development of industrial design in Russia. In total, the festival was attended by over 6,000 people.
